Archiving and relaunch…

The time has come to relaunch my blog. I am hoping that I will be up and running by month’s end – at a different URL, which I will throw to from this page – using a modified version of some slick blog template, likely from one of the big guns. I’m hoping to focus more strictly on design and creativity with a healthy dose of narrative.

It’s time to step up my game and try to blog a lot more often and about topics that directly relate to my work at the CBC and as a freelancer on the advertising and broadcast landscape. I also like to talk a little bit about the struggles of launching a company with limited resources in the current Canadian media market. Of course that said, the opinions I express are always my own, and do not reflect my employers or those of any of my clients.

You also won’t find any “the designer’s always right” thinking here. A property’s owner ALWAYS understands their product or brand better than a hired gun intuitively. They built it, they know it. My job is to make sure they don’t drop the ball when communicating that to their users/readers/watchers.

So until the new blog is up… Same bat time. Same bat channel.
