Various problems still exist with the “beta” blog:

• does not support the png alpha values in IE 6 on the PC, creating a blue line on either side of the blog, I have chosen to ignore said problem as I suspect that most of my readers (i.e. two people) have or will update to IE 7 or Firefox (PC) shortly
• although the site does in fact work in Safari, it does not in Firefox on the Mac – the search box, previous post area and footer have CSS issues
• similar to the Mac Firefox problem, the search box shifts to the right in IE 7 on the PC
• in every browser that has problems rendering the bottom div tags there appears to be an added pixel of whitespace beside the RSS icon

On the up side I have fixed the problem regarding favicons in IE 7 – the files had to be saved with a “windows mode” selected – that said, IE still has problems recognising when the icon’s been updated, even when the favorites are refreshed.

Note: The portfolio is slowly, slowly coming along, but I’ve made recent headway. It’s nice to be excited about some promotional material for once, usually it feels a bit like pulling teeth.
